A couple of weeks ago now I jumped on a National Express coach down to Bath to see Char,  my best friend from uni. Overdue a huge catch up, I was heading down a little earlier than the other girls so we could have some time together before the wedding planning resumed full steam ahead – she’s getting married next March.

With an afternoon to explore, we headed for lunch before letting the inner explorer out and heading to explore the Botanical Gardens.

The gardens were beautiful. Very peaceful and quiet. There were times we felt like if we stepped over the bridge or up the stairs we’d stumble across the secret garden. A magical place undisturbed by others.

Still chatting the whole way round, we stopped to spot the squirrels, take in the pretty surroundings and obviously snap some photos.

I think we skipped out part of the gardens accidentally, and needed to head back as one of the other girls was arriving, but even the part we strolled through was enough to say it’s gorgeous and worth a visit.

What’s your favourite part of Bath? I need to go back so would love some recommendations.
