Friends will always be the funny and love-able, easy-watching tv show that can never be replaced. Ten seasons, 256 episodes of funny moments, sticky situations, relationships, love, friendship, and story lines many could relate to, made it a huge hit with an incredible fan base. So big in fact, that Friendsfest has now sold out two years in a row! With Kim unable to go due to a wedding planned for the same weekend this year, I was lucky enough to get the chance to buy her tickets…and boy was it worth it. Friendsfest sees the set, including Joey and Chandlers flat, the iconic hallway, and Rachel and Monica’s place tour the UK. Along with this, there’s Central Perk, the famous yellow taxi, two other…

Tacos became a celebrity of the food world last year, with a number of taco spots opening their doors, including El Pastor and Breddos. The latter, raising up the street food stakes from where it started as a taco shack in Hackney, to its own permanent restaurant in Clerkenwell. I fell in with Breddos back during the first couple years of Street Feast, when they only had one location, on one floor, with a handful of bars and street food vendors. The Baja Fish Tacos, which are still on the menu, featuring lightly battered fish, cabbage, habanero and lime mayonnaise won me over –  the recipe might have been altered in the last 5 years, but they’re still one of my fave tacos. Since opening…

A standard cup of coffee just wasn’t going to cut it for international coffee day this year – THE coffee day when you have the excuse (if you need one) to indulge those caffeine cravings with something fancy. Don’t get me wrong, you cant beat a perfectly brewed flat white with creamy milk poured into the mug to create a pretty pattern on a regular day. But on these other occasions, coffee cocktails are the way to go. Especially over brunch! I was lucky enough to be invited to brunch with Tia Maria for International coffee day – the dark coffee liqueur. Taking place at St. Barts Brewery in Smithfield, almost the whole restaurant come bar was buzzing with life, groups nattering and people tucking…

Close to Highbury & Islington station, this cute little pan-asian restaurant is in one of my favourite areas of London. Nestled close to the boutique coffee chops around the main roundabout, and the numerous new openings on St. Pauls Road, the area is one to watch. Relatively small, there’s only about 30 covers (to memory) in the Islington branch of Tootoomoo. The interior, decorated in reds and blues, with striped cushions and blue padded booths, wooden chairs and bright and colourful tiled tables, it radiated its eastern influence. The open front, breezy during the longer late summer evenings, meant you didn’t mind too much that you weren’t sat outside making the most of the English summer – which I know a the moment seems like…

Ok, I know what you’re thinking. Summer is over. Well and truly. The main tells being the fact that it’s always cloudy, seriously cold (is it me or have we suddenly had to get our winter coats out) and it rains. ALL. THE. TIME. But a couple weeks ago it was different. Everyone was talking about a late Indian summer (let’s not go into how wrong they were!), and this is when I got to go to the coolest type of party – a pool party! Yes you read that right. I was one of the lucky people to get picked to attend the Fitness First Summer Pool Party! And it was just as cool as it sounds. After a quick tour of the gym…
