There you have it. My guilty pleasure is Sushi. Well one of them. I have a few which come and go in phases. The thing with all my guilty pleasures is they’re not necessarily naughty (as in calorie-ridden, fattening and bad for you), most are super healthy, well apart from sweets – I’m almost always in the mood for sweets, not chocolate though, yes I must be a weird version of a woman. But all aren’t exactly the cheapest options out there. Ok, so I understand sushi isn’t that expensive. But if you had it as many times as I want it in a week, it’s bordering on spending a fortune. I didn’t necessarily love the thought of eating sushi before moving to London. But…

Hi Guys, here is the second instalment of city boy and country girl. This time I will be telling all you lovely people a little story about one of our drives through the countryside – always hilarious with Alex in the car. And I do think this tops my ‘Lobster’ confidence – but you can tell me what you think. So we were tootling along down a country lane, I think on our way to West Midlands Safari Park, when Alex was looking out the window at the beautiful country side. Alex: What are those in the field? Me: What? Alex: Those black things…Over there (Points to a field) Me: Ohhh they’re hay bales. Alex: What? Why are they like that? Me: Because they’ve harvested the hay…

The second top tip I want to share with everyone for moving, whether to London, or anywhere else is to get out there. Put yourself in uncomfortable situations and make the most of anything you can do to meet new people. I did find it hard when I first moved, my housemates were pretty nice (found them through spareroom) and tried to involve me sometimes, but I needed to make more friends of my own. So here are a few things I recommend: Find a hobby. Join a class. Start or try something new. I started going back to adult ballet but joined a class at Pineapple Dance Studio in Covent Garden last summer. I loved the class and met one of the girls through…

Shaped to fit nicely in your ear. Sweat proof and rain proof. Powerful bass. What else do you need from a set of headphones for running? I bought my new headphones off amazon a few weeks ago. I love them. Not only do they fit nicely and stay in my ears (I have little ear syndrome – and don’t like the bud earphones, so others normally feel uncomfortable or fall out – not fun whilst running! Trying to fumble for the lost headphone), with the clip that’s on the wire they don’t flap about and whack me in the face whilst out on a jog. The sound is amazing and helps keep me motivated.. sometimes you just really need that power tune! For all family…

I thought I’d add a new section to my blog to give you all something to make you giggle. I know I’m not exactly a country girl, was more a town-girl although did I spend much of my time growing up in the countryside. I do now class myself as a city girl but I sometimes do come out with something silly – a case of speaking before thinking! Alex on the other hand, is definitely a city boy – born and raised! Being in the countryside with him is hilarious. This new section is to share some of the funniest and perhaps embarrassing things which are said between us in our daily lives. For your amusement, and for me to be able to look…
