In a bid to escape the extremely chilly weather (of course I managed to book our date night Sky Garden trip for one of the coldest evenings), Alex and I headed up Commercial Street to find a welcoming, warm and cosy place to eat, finally piling into Zengi. Italian restaurants. These seem to get neglected a lot by me and my choices of where to eat. It’s not that I don’t like Italian food, nothing of the sort, it’s more that I make a mean spag bol, creative pasta dish or pizza at home, so don’t always see the point in going out to eat it. Last week Alex found out that he got the job…whoo! So I decided, being the proud girlfriend, that I’d treat him to dinner and a drink (or two) to celebrate. I knew what was top of my list to try, but as it was his treat I let him choose, keeping my fingers crossed he’d choose well…and he did! Great minds eh?
