It was Alex’s birthday recently, and what better excuse to finally meet his dad. Alex loves the theatre, and although he’d  already seen the production his dad had booked before, he was still just as excited. Me, lucky enough to be invited too, I was ecstatic that I was finally getting to see the musical I’d wanted to book for such a long time. Dinner first, the awkward questions soon passed “how did you meet?”, “When did you know you liked him?”, “What made you go for It?” – when you met at uni and first kissed on a boozy night out (ok after messaging as friends, and flirting a little, for quite a while), the face does start to turn a slight rosy colour…

Last night Alex and I went to see Memphis the musical at Shaftesbury Theatre and it was incredible. After a long day at work (well long four days!) what’s better than an evening out for a quick dinner and a theatre trip? As yesterday I also passed my probation in my job it was also a reason to celebrate! (Yayy me!!) The theatre was already bustling when we turned up at 7.15 to collect tickets (super speedy service) and find seats (so easy with one of the attendants on the door directing you).
