You can’t beat a festive bake to help get you in the spirit. Christmas music, a little sing-a-long and an afternoon getting creative in the kitchen. Perfect and so relaxing. Designed to look like little Christmas puddings, these mini treats are made from soft chocolate cookies, finished with iced decoration – you don’t need to like Christmas pudding to enjoy these choccy treats. These aren’t too tricky, are delicious and they look fab, making them perfect for guests. If you have little ones around this festive season, they could even get involved with this one – it’s really not difficult! I think we might make some of these for Christmas day this year, for serving with coffee late afternoon! Recipe below for you all –…

Looking for a simple and tasty festive meal to cook, to help with feeling Christmassy? Then look no further. After making my slow cooker festive lamb the other weekend (recipe here), I found myself craving festive food. Anything to make me feel more Christmassy, as I was starting to come down with the office flu. So I got my thinking hat on. I wanted to create something which could be whipped up before Christmas, and feel festive, but also  something which could be adapted to use up leftovers after Christmas Day. If you’re not sure about making something with pork, you could always substitute the chipolatas for Heck!…

I was shocked. I like to experiment with my toppings to shake things up and make them seasonal. So as it’s Christmas in less than three weeks (YES LESS THAN THREE WEEKS! It’s flown by!) I decided it was…

You may have read my review of Zizzi’s Christmas menu, which went live earlier this week. I went to the branch in The O2 Centre on Finchley Road, and had such a fab 3 course meal, that delicious Black Angus Beef  Bresaola with the amazing sweet chilli jam, the super tender and flavoursome lamb and the dessert of all desserts, the sticky toffee pudding  which looked incredible, and tasted heavenly. You wouldn’t have thought a chain would do such a fab Christmas meal, but it does it so well. So at the weekend, Alex and I, talking about our meal and deciding where to try before Christmas, decided that we needed to try and recreate the lamb at home. Especially as Alex hadn’t had it…
