December is the month for feasting. Aren’t I right? Feasting and treating, indulging and not for one second feeling guilty about it (ok, I definitely feel guilty when I indulge, but it’s way more acceptable to do in December). So with a month pretty much all about festive foods, it got me thinking about what my fave seasonal bites are. So here it is, my top Christmas food picks… Pigs in Blankets – seriously, why don’t we have these all year round? It’s not like bacon or sausages are seasonal, but they only get brought out at Christmas. This makes them almost even more highly anticipated, and I guess also a bit special. The juicy little sausages, wrapped in salty, slightly crisp bacon go down…

So this is the first year I’ve got my way and been allowed to watch Christmas films from the beginning of December. Alex always used to make me wait until the week before Christmas – or even Christmas Eve! – So I used to watch them by myself when I got chance. Christmas films are one sure fire way to get me in the festive mood, so I love to snuggle up, in a Christmas jumper or even my festive onesie, maybe with a hot choc and the occasional mince pie, and watch a good collection as soon as it hits December. There are so many though, and I never know which to choose, so I thought I’d let tell you all my faves this year…

Looking for a simple and tasty festive meal to cook, to help with feeling Christmassy? Then look no further. After making my slow cooker festive lamb the other weekend (recipe here), I found myself craving festive food. Anything to make me feel more Christmassy, as I was starting to come down with the office flu. So I got my thinking hat on. We all know that Christmas is about the food, almost as much as it is about being with friends and family. Eating and drinking is the one thing we’re bound to do with our nearest and dearest this Christmas – there’s just so much delicious food & drink this time of year. If you’re hosting a little get together, or planing on taking some appetisers with you to a Christmas shindig this December, I have just the recipe for you. These mini toad in the hole bites are the perfect finger food for canapes, or buffets, and are sure to go down well with adults or the little ones. If you’re not sure about making something with pork, you could always substitute the chipolatas for Heck!…

I love Christmas. The food, obviously, the celebrations with friends and family, but also the gifts – I LOVE giving gifts. I actually think I get more excited about giving gifts than I do receiving them. I met Kim back in January at a blogger event, and we’ve since become great friends, going out for dinner and drinks, going to events together and we had an awesome night out for Halloween too. We’d been talking about Christmas plans for a while, and what we were going to do to celebrate – we both love Christmas! I’m pretty lucky as Kim picked me to partner with her for the Secret Santa challenge with I Just Love It – we had to choose each other gifts, secretly, to…
