Whoever invented sharing plates is a genius. I will never get bored of sharing several smaller dishes. After all, you get to try so much more from the menu (I always feel so restricted picking one main), and you’re less likely to suffer from food envy or get bored of your dinner. Win win. Escaping the rain a couple of weeks ago, Kim and I headed into Shackfuyu for dinner and a good old catch-up before the launch event for Henry Holland’s latest Habitat collection (I was lucky enough to be Kim’s plus one). A big fan of Bone Daddies famous Ramen, Shackfuyu had been on my list for a while, and it had also featured on Kim’s must visit list too. It was pretty…

I finally tried Le Bab last week with Kim. We went for dinner and a drink before the Boohoo Blogger Christmas Party, and it was seriously yummy. Le Bab is pretty much a posh kebab place based in Kingly Court in Soho. It’s had so many rave reviews, and the photos on Instagram look awesome. It’s nothing like one of those late night kebabs I’m sure we’ve all had on the way home from a night out, and wake up regretting the next day.¬† Kingly Court really does look SO pretty right now! Le Bab, had been on my list for what felt like AGES!! We’d attempted to dine there previously, but the wait had been too long each time – it’s definitely a popular…

For date night last week, Alex and I decided we’d get festive and head out for our first Christmas meal. One of the main things about Christmas is the food right? (Obviously after family and friends – but it’s what we all do together!) So why not start the festive season as we mean to go on. We’re quite lucky as we only live 10 minutes away from the O2 Centre on Finchley Road, which has plenty of restaurant options to choose from including Zizzi, Wagamama, Yo Sushi, ¬†Nando’s and one of our fave more casual places, Chop Pot. As we wanted to get the festive spirits flowing, we decided to head to Zizzi as they have a couple of set Christmas menus which looked…

Guys, I have to tell you about my breakfast at Jackson & Rye. Now be warned, you might get food envy… A couple of weeks ago, just before my holiday, I had a breakfast meeting at Jackson & Rye in Soho. It was a recommendation from one of my colleagues, but had also been on my own list to try out for a little while. I turned up early so managed to get a quick snap of the inside – it’s pretty cool, with an old-school, yet sophisticated, American diner feel. It wasn’t too busy on the Tuesday morning either, so perfect for a catch-up. Some of these places get super busy and pretty noisy, especially being so centrally located. But this was perfect. I…

Chicken. Saucy, tender yet crispy where it matters, finger-lickingly good chicken. Bird had been on my list of restaurants to try for AGES! And when I say ages, I mean since the restaurant in Holloway first opened. I don’t know how it took me so long to finally make it there. There’s even a branch closer to me now too, in Camden, so there should have been no excuses – how can you turn down a chicken restaurant? We went along on a Monday at about 7.30pm before our film screening at the Odeon (love a bargain monday!), and it was relatively quiet. I didn’t realise it was full table service, so I was a little knocked off balance when we walked through the door,…
